A trio of siblings who have helped raise hundreds of pounds for their little sister who has cerebral palsy are celebrating raising another ?662 from their latest fundraising event. Josh, nine, Ben, eight, and Ellie Wright, five, from Adams Lane, Corpusty, arranged today’s Spring Bonanza to raise money to build a sensory garden for three-year-old Felicity Wright. The event took place at Corpusty and Saxthorpe Village Hall and included a grand raffle with 55 prizes. Josh ran the raffle and tombola, Ellie ran the name the teddy and guess the weight of the cake competitions and Ben ran the hook a duck stall - all their own ideas. There was also a book stall, plant sale and face painting for people to enjoy, as well as a sit-down afternoon tea made up of delicious finger sandwiches and cake. The children were helped by their mother Sarah Wight, 31, and Val and Peter Johnson from Corpusty Stores. Mrs Wright, who works part-time at the village shop, said: “The children just go with it because they want to do it and Val and Peter are also incredible. “We’ve got a long way to go still but this has been a great start. Josh is already planning something for the summer. She thanked everyone who had been involved and added that the sensory garden would include a vegetable patch and would help Felicity to move around more independently. The children raised ?2,300 through a tombola at Corpusty Stores last year, which they also organised. The money went towards a ?700 custom-made tricycle for the three-year-old. Felicity was born five weeks premature and diagnosed in 2012 with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy, caused by brain damage.
